The 2023 Louisiana Fur and Wildlife Festival Trap Shooting and Quail Flush will be held on Saturday, January 14th next to the fairgrounds. Trap Shooting will be from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with the Shoot-Off following the parade. Quail Flush will be from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The 2023 Louisiana Fur and Wildlife Festival Dog Trial is fast approaching! Friday, January 13, 2023 at the home of Mitch Thomas (5317 Highway 397, Bell City LA 70-630). Entry will start at 9:00 a.m. Fee is $40.00 per dog entered. Trials begin at 10:00 a.m. 2 Stakes - Puppy and Senior. CONTACT: Kerry Clark Picou 337-794-8064. Thank you and hope to see you there!

The 5k/1 Mile run will be Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. The route will be in Cameron, LA. The link will be posted soon.  5K/1 MILE Registration

Registration ends January 12 at 11:59 p.m.

Race day registration at 7:00 a.m. but will not include T-Shirt or Gift Bag.

The Gumbo Cook-Off will be Saturday, January 14 on the Cameron fairground. Contestants arrive and set up at 6:00 a.m. Cooking begins at 6:30 a.m. Samples ready to be submitted to judges at 10:30 a.m. and public invited to come to the tasting. Winners will be announced at 4:00 p.m. at the stage.   

DUCK AND GOOSE CALLING

The 2023 Louisiana Fur and Wildlife Festival Duck and Goose Calling Contest will be held Saturday, January 14 at 3:00 p.m. in the Cameron Port Office (Enter through festival gate then head to Cameron Port Office). Entry will start at 3:00 p.m. Fee is $25.00 per division. Age Divisions: Junior - Intermediate - Senior. Calling Divisions: Duck - Snow Goose - Speckle Belly - Best All Around Caller. Thank you and hope to see you there!
